Bill Richards, UK Managing Director of the global job site Indeed, said: "The UK’s fastest growing jobs range from entry level roles to highly specialist positions, showing that employers generally demand a wide range of experience and skills. While the tightness of the labour market means employers in many sectors are having to reconsider how they attract talent, all this competition is great news for jobseekers."

Our View

Graham Brown, Managing Director of Forces Recruitment Services, comments: "Labour market conditions are such that there is a very real battle for talent, especially given the record low unemployment rate. Jobseekers are more selective and, as the report from Indeed clearly demonstrates, opportunities are plentiful. Employers need to work smarter, be open to new ideas, and not simply rely on the standard issue methods. The ex-military talent pool is a good place to start.”
