How to Write a Job Description for a Champion Profile

As part of my “How to attract top talent with precision & clarity” series, we move on to the CHAMPION profile.

We use a platform called @Contribution Compass to profile candidates. When we take the time to understand the profile of the person we want to recruit, we can be smart using the right language to attract that candidate, saving time filtering in the right people and filtering out the wrong people.

What does a Champion need?

  • The space to drive a brand / sales

  • Someone who appreciates them

  • Public support

What will a Champion bring?

  • Someone driven and engaged

  • They’ll get people to buy into their ideas

  • Passion

  • Strong intuition on what the market needs

Balance the risk

  • They don’t like appearing in a negative light. Can be stubborn. Can be over confident and arrogant. Bold & demanding. Don’t like their creative energy to be stifled. Attached to their reputation. Can be overly .attached to appearances. Need your undivided attention. Might sell to anyone who will listen. Don’t like to be constrained.

The type of language to use in a JD

  • Enthusiastic Energy Ideas and creativity Vision. Put the message out there Shine a light. High achiever. Customer facing. The mouthpiece / voice.  A thunderbolt . Vibrant. Exciting. Take the message to wide audience. Brand Ambassador. Sales. Add value. Motivator. Visibility. Public-facing. Driven. Expertise. Subject matter expert. Magnetic Marketing. Shake up the status quo. Deliver brand value. Let you loose
