1. Paint them a picture of what it’s like to work with you and be on your team. Keep comms open and make them feel special
2. When you correspond with the candidate ensure your message encourages a response. Personalise the message and engage with them. What do you think about their skill level? How good a fit could they be? Again, make them feel special.
3. Have a clear onboarding process and match this to their profile (more about this soon)
4. Make sure they are clear on what your offer is (the whole package)
5. Try to understand what other options they have (bear in mind they may not be honest with you)
6. Talk about your ideal team member and how they fit against that
7. Ensure your social media talks about your values and you live and breathe them and be open
8. If you engage with them on social media, reply to every comment
9. Better qualify your candidates to avoid time wasters
10. Finally, try a different type of question if they’re not responding. They might be struggling with something.
